The winner of the Chef of the Year Award Mr Latchmi Chand, 31, of Air Terminal Services Limited, shows his winning trophy and certificates in the appropriate category culinary dishes after the presentation by the Minister for Economic Development, Planning and Tourism, Mr Peter Stinson at the Hotel and Catering School in Suva.

He was also presented a certificate for the winning best chicken dish. He also won the return air ticket to Auckland from sponsors Canadian Pacific Airlines and $500 cash from Tip Top Ice Cream and a 12-piece Henekels knife set from Gibsons and Paterson Limited. He was also awarded a gold medal by Tip Top Ice Cream and a Silver Cup by the Fiji Hotel Association.
